About

Hello! Здравствуйте!

I'm Natalya and I was adopted from Russia when I was 17 months old. I have a mild form of Cerebral Palsy, six younger adopted sisters, and two rescue dogs from Ukraine. This blog started in 2016, two years after I traveled to Ukraine for the adoption of two of my sisters. Since that trip, I have spread awareness about the plight of aging-out orphans of Eastern Europe. I recognize the blessings I have been given through adoption and I would like to share the freedom I have found through Christ with others.

All of my sisters and I have some kind of special-need including: varying forms of Cerebral Palsy, Spina bifida, Epilepsy, Scoliosis, and Profound Deafness with a Cochlear Implant. I am also the administrative assistant for Ting Ministries, a Christian non-profit organization that works with special-needs and teenage orphans around the world.

On my blog, you will find posts about adoption issues faced by families and adopted kids and young adults, orphan and disability advocacy, and my thoughts on my latest read. I am an aspiring historical fiction author, who loves period dramas or any story that lingers in my thoughts long after it has ended.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I'd love to hear from you, so be sure to drop me a line in the comments! If you have a question, please comment or email me - I might even write about on the blog!
